Pilar de la Horadada is a city with about 25.000 inhabitants and is located about 14 km south of Torrevieja and approximately 3 km north of San Pedro del Pinatar.
Pilar de la Horadada remains a typical Spanish town, there is everything from supermarkets, shops, banks, library, bars, restaurants, schools, indoor swimming pool and sports complex, medical centres, private clinics, dentists,opticians and much more.
Pilar de la Horadada hosts a popular weekly market which is held on a Friday morning and takes place in the side streets close to the post office.
You can enjoy a relaxing coffee in the central church square amongst the locals after browsing around the shops in the high street.
For swimming and sunbathing it is not far to any of the resort’s many beaches such as Mil Palmeras, El Mojón, Las Higuericas and Los Jesuitas.
On the outskirts of Pilar de la Horadada you will find Lo Romero 18-hole golf course.
Alicante airport is approximately 45 minutes and San Javier airport is only a 15 minute drive.
